Pros

- Unity looks good in your CV, at least for now. - We’re still having some perks, though they keep on cutting them on a quarterly basis.

Cons

- Unless you like the political game, run away from here. People only get far boot licking. - Insane title inflation. You get Staff engineers with skills that a junior can do better, or senior managers with no previous management experience or project management experience. None of this is their fault, but the lack of actual definitions of roles, the heavy politics games and favouritism, and a core totally rotten, is the cause. Just look at the popularity of the company on the eyes of our customers, and assume that that’s only the tip of the iceberg as many of the bad things remain internal. - Unity is great at creating artificial problems just to justify the promotion of a manager, at the cost of their users.

Pros

Great people, solid benefits, actual work-life balance (for some, not all). Cool offices (if you care).

Cons

Poor decisions made by leadership has resulted in massive layoffs. Some benefits have been taken away. Lack of commitment by leadership means ambiguous working conditions for a lot of people, leading to a lot of attrition in the past couple years. Best piece of advice I can give you: take what you can get.

Pros

Unity has good benefits, competitive salaries, and is overall a pretty good place to work.

Cons

Unity has been a very chaotic place to work for the last two years. Directions change often, communication within the company isn't very good, mistakes get made on T4s every year, my salary was being paid at a lower rate for a while, and HR can take a very very long time to address needs.
