Pros

- You'll find some really smart engineers to learn from and collaborate with. - Work-life balance can be decent (but keep in mind, it's highly dependent on the team you're in). - A few teams stand out as being pretty good, even though they're the exception rather than the rule.

Cons

- Teladoc isn't quite a tech company; it feels more like a traditional business with a strong focus on politics, even at the IC level. - There's a prominent "top-down" hierarchy in place. - A "yes sir" culture is prevalent, so if you prefer to work quietly without questioning tasks, this could be the place for you. - Brownnosers seem to thrive here. - The company has a large org mentality, treating people as resources and fostering an "every man for himself" mindset. - Vast majority of managers and team leads act more like "bosses" than leaders, and numerous true leaders have already left the company. - Work-life balance can be really poor in some teams. -Collaboration between teams is limited, negatively impacting productivity and innovation. At times, it feels like different teams are not only unable, but also seemingly uninterested in working together effectively. - Business processes are not well-established, and it seems that improving them is not a priority for the company.

Pros

- There are a few genuine & caring people left in management - Company will not exist in five years time - looking to be acquired by then - Competitors are eating this firm's lunch in every business channel so you get a first class seat for MBA level coursework in poor executive leadership

Cons

- Most job offerings listed online aren't meant to actually be filled - The company is hiring contractors at very low rates to reduce balance sheet - The "In-Crowd" is safe from constant layoffs but everyone else is disposable. Two layoffs in the past three months and more to quietly come in 2023

Pros

It pays the bills and if you're able to keep busy scheduling member consults via telephone then for a few fleeting moments you almost forget how much you dislike the leadership who somehow manage to turn what could be a rewarding sense of satisfaction into Dantes 5th circle of Hell!

Cons

Working here plays out like an old episode of The Twilight Zone. I don't think my words here can accurately describe the utter dread you have before each scheduled shift. The realization that for the next 8 1/2 hours you will be monitored visually and electronically to a degree you didn't think possible unless working for the FBI or CIA. Management goes out of their way to make sure you know they listen and monitor not only calls but your every movement. I'm not exaggerating when I say you will get instant messages from one or more of leadership for literally getting back at your desk and changing your status to ready on the 16th minute of a 15 minute break and the same goes for lunch. I'm not talking about someone who makes a habit out of milking breaks and lunches I'm referring to the mindful worker who 95% of time is in ready work mode within one minute of break or lunch but still gets the big brother is watching routine for no productive reason. They stress empathy on all calls but for their employees this concept is foreign. You are made aware from day one that you are replaceable and whatever preconceived notions you have in regards to policies and procedures you learn quickly they are not recognized or practiced at Teledoc (Phoenix) location. What is practiced is nepetism and favoritism for a select few and iron fist reckless disregard for the rest of us.
