Pros

None that I believe they would actually consider. Be open to more human perspectives than homogenous ideology. Majority of nonprofits donors are not in one group and would be horrified to learn that these nonprofits are so narrow minded towards staff with differing views as opposed to what they try to push as “culture.” When really it’s just political group think.

Cons

Like many of the local Vegas nonprofits this organization struck me as ideologically insulated and very much a “woke” org. They attempted to recruit me for a while and I finally entertained their requests. They asked for excessive work samples and were happy to ask for my abundance of solid and easily executable ideas. They even try to ask for a CRM so that should tell you all you need to know (attempts at donor harvesting). The overall Vegas nonprofit world is very politically narrow minded and if you are not in that group they are not open to you working for them. Doesn’t matter your experience or even your past volunteer work. You need to be in their “political club.” It will be interesting to see how these nonprofits get money in the coming years while alienating a good portion of their more conservative donors. Not to mention corporations with money giving authority who are headed by these individuals with differing views. All-in-all, they just idea harvest and quite frankly it was an uninspiring experience. More think thank than actionable and transformative. I rarely see any media or news press releases from this org as well.
