Low morale and deteriorating environment
Pros
Flexible hours Work-from-home option Competent peers and coworkers
Cons
- Top heavy organizational structure. Too many managers to do too little work. - Old CEO laid off huge swaths of employees in 2015-2017 across Canada. Remaining employees had their medical benefits stripped, accompanied with a 2-year wage freeze. Need to pay $3-6k out-of-pocket to maintain those benefits. Effect to morale persists into 2018. - The new CEO's first directive to employees was to take away Christmas vacation benefits from salaried employees across Canada. They must now use their vacation days. - Teams are now very small, and there are few people to work with and learn from. If you are not already experienced enough to perform the work, you will have trouble due to lack of technical support.
