      Pros

      There seems to be a desire to be the best, to incorporate new technologies and processes in the building process. Lots of opportunities for training both internal and external. There are real opportunities for growth not just locally, but the ability to transfer to a new location or into a Center of Excellence team is a benefit.

      Cons

      Management still doesn't understand the California market and doesn't understand that they are new and people don't know them. They need to be humble and accept whatever projects are offered, no matter how small, and expand their vision.

      Good Benefit Package, nice office

      In LA, Skanska Civil Inc. is extremely successful, wins projects, and has a good reputation, but Skanska Building Inc. is not performing at the same level. They speak with clients, but they don't have a strong presence in LA or a team to manage a project. The company sometimes reminds me of the Roman Empire: Just like the Roman Empire, this comapny is too large to govern effectively. Getting a promotion is a dream. People don't get laid off here, but get "de-promoted."

      They used to be among the best. Getting bigger has not meant getting better.

      They used to be among the best but no longer. It is not the same company anymore.
