      Pros

      Great opportunities to work in variety of fields especially for engineers. Management seriously considers feedback from employees and works on continuous development of the products, production processes and services businesses. Team work is highly valued.

      Cons

      Annual performance is structured by has an overall subjective final grade that is somewhat dependent on supervisor biases. Decisions to respond to pursue business development is somewhat slow and not always well coordinated. Pay for performance Salary adjustments are conservative and gradual no matter how outstanding the performance. Middle managers are not always well trained and this lack of training can influence the attitude, performance and morale of work-teams. Career development - you are on your own.

      Pros

      Rockwell Automation is by far, the best in class with regards to the Industrial Automation Industry. With regards to how employees are treated overall, and the direction of the company, no other company measures as well across the board. Lots of choice with regards to career path.

      Cons

      Career opportunities are limited based on who you have as a corporate sponser within the senior management organization. Youth is preferred over experience for many opportunities, and management positions are used as training opportunities, which can negatively impact the level of core competencies within a business unit.
