Pros

I’ve had a really positive experience working at Rio Tinto. The flexibility in working arrangements has been incredibly important to me, especially as a parent it allows me to balance my role with being present for my daughter and my family. I feel trusted to manage my time, which makes a big difference to both my wellbeing and performance. I’m fortunate to have a genuinely supportive leader who encourages development and creates an environment where you can do your best work. The team I work with are fantastic down to earth, collaborative, and simply great people to be around day to day. It really makes coming to work enjoyable. The benefits are also a standout, particularly the share plan and health insurance for my family, which are meaningful and make you feel well looked after. I also really enjoy being part of the community events and initiatives, which help create a strong sense of connection beyond just the day to day work.

Cons

Like any large organisation, processes can sometimes take a bit longer and it isn’t always easy to quickly find the right person to make decisions. That said, it comes with the scale and structure of a global company.
