Pros

The work environment is great, people are passionate and care. On top of that the level of competency is high for employees. The company respects employees personal time and projects are managed well, it's rare that something will require working very late or on weekends. Working here it's easy to have a good life/work balance.

Cons

Problems are not overly interesting, large portion of work is maintenance related, so you will spend a significant portion of time doing bug fixes instead of developing new code. Compensation is lower than I have seen at other companies.

Pros

Freedom, openness, company culture. Internally you can express almost any view on any topic and it will be treated with respect and often many responses! Many original thinkers in the company. Although growing larger still a company with heart. A unique software company.

Cons

Growth is creating challenges. Open-source culture is challenging to get things done in a reasonable timeframe.

Pros

One of the best Tech companies period. Lots to learn, amazing people to learn from. A few times I was looking to find out who wrote something, figuring it they were halfway around the world, when they were two or three cubicles away. Some of the brightest minds in the Open Source world are sitting next to you and always willing to help.

Cons

If you're not doing development, it's kind of boring. Kind of really, really boring. It quickly turns from a fun, laid back place, into a desert of cubicles where you're trying to fight to stay awake until 5pm.
