At Pfizer, the statistics function can sometimes feel underprioritized, with competing project deadlines creating constant urgency and limited respect for bandwidth. Following the Seagen merger, there has also been a noticeable shift toward a more aggressive, visibility-driven culture. Meetings can feel performative, with an emphasis on speaking up rather than driving substantive discussion or decision-making. Overall, this environment may be challenging for someone who is focused on producing rigorous, thoughtful statistical work

Pros

Bonus was very substantial. Health benefits very attractive (we all needed it; ironic). The idea of FOD (1 day off per mth with >8.5 working hrs per day). Most people who are under the FOD system get the FOD - this means 12 more days of leave per year. The baseline time off is as per minimim MOM requirements. Nothing else about the nature of the work is commendable.

Everything from the work to the management is no good.

Not the best decent salary and benefits. Job is fun and rewarding.

Cons

Extremely poor leadership and management. Only promoted if you are liked and kiss (you know). Work life-balance is only talked about. Even when you go above and beyond, you are not recognized unless you are the chosen ones.
