Pros

Benefits, smart people, what's left of the old NI culture pre-2019

Cons

Post acquisition by Emerson has gotten more corporate, lost it's culture and fun, had a ton of layoffs of lots of core talent

Pros

Projects (when we have one) can be great. Other engineers/technicians are really great people, wherever they're located. Thanks a lot and shout out to them. Depending on the location, the salary may be good (ours were).

Cons

NI is a company that has no strategy other than please the shareholders, at any cost. Since Starkloff became CEO, the only goal was to sell the company. That absolutely meant ni has just been through few waves of laying off many employees, even if the company yoy perf was good. Direction is careless, see employees as just numbers and is happy to do some math with them (quoted from board member in all hands meeting). No consideration whatsoever for the lives of more than a thousand people who were fired the last 3 years. I don't recommend at all.
