As the department grows and continues to be successful, the fear of mergin with less successful departments dictates decisions. As a result, goals increase, pay goes down, and more regulation of activity comes into play. The corporate structure itself requires team members to follow the leader and to not do so, places a target on your back.

Management is very secretive. Weekly meetings are held that discuss what was discussed the prior week. Limited opportunities to advance for existing associates. The Management positions are usually filled from outside the company. Or the job is posted when everyone already knows who will get the position.
