Pros

Cafeteria, premises is beautiful but difficult to get to if you do not have a car. Benefits are OK. (Mostly) great people to work with.

Cons

Outdated culture. Discrimination in the workplace, overachievers are often ridiculed because it is kind of a slacker environment. If they decide that they do not like you, they make up cases against you to pressure you into quitting since they cannot fire you without time and reasons. Never got an exit interview because they didn't want me to be honest about how they treated me. E & C are the worst people to work with since they want to stay at the top and anyone who tries to climb will be forced into leaving the company. Not to mention all of the blatant drug use from leaders who do not even try to hide it and encourage their subordinates to do the same. If you survey all of the employees in that department, the majority of them will tell you I was always there to help them, I was knowledgeable and they felt that they could rely on me and trust my answers given. Their opinions of me are actually the ones that matter.

Pros

Growth opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of information and skills, and some excellent colleagues who are always willing to assist

Cons

Internal promotions are capped at 10% increases so external hires wind up making significantly more than tenured employees with a larger knowledge base. Work life balance is non existent and turnover of tenured employees for financial and personal reasons is putting a huge burden on the remaining employees.

Pros

Some cool people (but you get that almost anywhere).

Cons

There are no career opportunities. The pay is low, and even if you do get promoted, you get a 10% raise from that very low pay (and work way more than 10% harder). The health insurance is overpriced and they only match 401k contributions after you've been working there a year (the irony oozes). Working as a PSR is soul crushing and you are not given the tools to succeed. I've had more than a couple jobs over the years, and this was easily the worst. If you have an opportunity elsewhere, take it. Anyone who can read and count to 3 can do better. As a result, the only people left working there very long are under-educated, dense, or both.
