Great employee benefits, passionate people but little structure and decision-making is tightly controlled

Great employee benefits (product allowance, employee discounts, regular product giveaways, free health and fitness classes), regular 'brown bag lunches' where influential/inspirational speakers come and speak (e.g. Gail Kelly, John Gillam to name a few). Creative, passionate, innovative people who are experts in their industry. Fastest growing and largest beauty retailer in Australia.

Cons

Little structure, little role clarity, decision-making is tightly controlled (family owned business). Little diversity. The business has grown so fast that systems, processes and documentation have struggled to keep up with the growth.

Discount is good. Mecca graduate program is good as it allows hiring from internal. Owners of the business are lovely

Cons

Terrible management styles, worst pay, contradicts everything they say about caring about their staff. One massive blame game. Unclear and terrible processes, everything just to please the customer
