Great start after leaving VC but went downhill quickly

Pros

-The people - I had so many amazing colleagues who I have stayed friends with and still see often after leaving the company. -Great benefits package.

Cons

-Executive leadership was terrible - the CEO seems to not give a care and never visits any satellite offices. -Overall there is a feeling that people don't matter to this company or to the execs - they laid off a lot of key people and promoted some people who are dead weight (but good yes-men). -They started out with a lot of energy and excitement over becoming a 'startup' after leaving Vision Critical, but this was wasted quickly when everyone discovered that it wasn't a startup, it was a 'new' company with a stuffy, old-world corporate feeling. As a result, their turnover rate is incredibly high. A lot of great employees have fled and will continue to flee if they don't change things drastically.

But yes, we have gone through some unexpected organizational changes in the last 2 years. Although change has provided an opportunity for growth and to stay abreast of the competition, it hasn’t always been easy. Having said that, we are always striving to improve our employee experience. Pros

I had great colleagues at Matchbox that have collectively innovated a lot in the research space. Good roster of clients and opportunities to work on interesting projects

Cons

The broader Maru Group strategy is very unclear and I left because I was not very confident in the company's ability to differentiate and grow.
