Pros

Great people, good working environment, safety, cleanliness, good pay compared to other food companies and work-hours flexibility in certain jobs.

Cons

Senior management covered for each other. Lack of proper discipline for managers who obviously played favorites. Very lean company, so you did more than your share of work. High levels of stress amongst hourly employees. Most say they can't wait to get out of there.

Pros

Working on fun brands Good pay and benefits Great manufacturing base Power of dollars with agencies Global network of colleagues

Cons

If you like being kicked in the crotch on a regular basis, this is the place for you. Senior management is clueless, they have reorganized 3 times in the last 5 years, and are now cutting into the bone, as they are way past the meat. The internal competition for the vanishing opportunities is fierce, we compete more with colleagues than competitors. Managers are prodded to display "managerial courage" which means nothing more than become an "axe man". HR is the most secretive and insidious component of the organization, and is frightening in their intimidation and control. If fearful cooperation is your gig, this is the place for you, and don't forget to punch the timeclock on your way in!

Pros

Nicer than most large companies, more people-centric. Global roles can be quite interesting.

Cons

Very political, especially at VP level. Nice VPs are rare. Many don't respond if you reach out, which is vastly different vs the lower-ranked employees, who tend to be more open. ZERO career growth in Data & Analytics. Not many roles open up, no automatic promotions or meaningful pay raises, you're just expected to continue in your current role or move "horizontally" without any growth in title or salary for years. HR doesn't care and in fact often hasn't even worked anywhere else besides Mars, so they don't realize that this isn't the "norm" and it's not motivational. Rather than looking for ways to promote development, they mostly just raise barriers. Talent leaves Data & Analytics and nothing is being done to address this. A shame, because there are a lot of good people here wasting away.
