Marriott offers excellent employee travel discounts and strong corporate training programs that support professional development. I experienced meaningful growth in my finance and accounting skill set during my time with the company. Association Appreciation Week was a nice initiative, and it was positive to see associates recognized company-wide.

Cons

My final year was impacted by a difficult and unhealthy management environment. New ideas and input were not welcomed, I was frequently excluded from discussions and meetings, and contributions and achievements were not consistently recognized. Communication from my direct manager was often lacking, and questions frequently went unanswered. There was also significant pressure related to personal medical decisions, which created an uncomfortable and stressful work environment. Looking back after transitioning to a new role, I now recognize that this was not a normal or supportive workplace dynamic. The company is also undergoing major restructuring in Finance and HR, which adds additional instability.
