Pros

If you want to work somewhere with A LOT of downtime this is the place. Lots of education opportunities which is interesting. Probably good if you want something long term with slightly below standard pay that is not a challenge. If you are looking to advance your career I doubt this is the place for you.

Cons

Dealing with under trained management. Poorly planned projects with un-predictable requirements (a lot of your job will end up being spent working on things destined to change entirely). Many days spent on busy work that will subsequently get tossed.

Pros

Lower level employees/junior employees are great to work with. They are very smart due to the strict hiring practices at MDA. Flexible hours.

Cons

Upper management is out of touch with reality. Low wages, no bonuses. Team building events are a joke. You have to make up the time spent at these events (if they are held during work hours). Difficult to advance unless you are a white male.

Pros

High Quality Software Engineering work. Private Offices Food on site (even if it isn't very good) Can bank extra hours worked for time off

Cons

Very low pay. Broken commitments / promises from HR and managers. Below local inflation annual pay increases when you get a good or excellent performance review. Very cold / strict senior management / HR policies. No real effort made to keep departing staff with better job offers.
