Chaos in many departments

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

30 vacation days/year, flexible hours, affordable food at the cantine, many of the colleagues are helpful and friendly. Mobile work 2 days/week.

Cons

Many mid-management employees have grown into their positions simply because they have been with the company for over 15-20 years. Their skills and knowledge are questionable. Some of the departments seem like they lack planning, part of the activities are announced at the last minute and the employees are expected to drop everything and work extra to finish those tasks. Digitalization in this company is a joke. Employees working full-time are obliged to take the 45-minute break, so work-life balance is not exactly valued. Compensation packages are not in line with other companies'. Location in Einbeck is also a huge con, because the town is not really connected to airports. Also, not many things to do in the city itself. The company claims to be international but at the HQ there are mostly Germans - foreigners are expected to learn German, but no real support is offered from the company. In the interviews you are told that there are language classes available, but they do not take place in reality. Too many layers in the hierarchy, when you want to contact someone in a different group, you first need to wait to be introduced by someone else who might know the right person to link you with.
