A lot of micromanaging, too many layers of management... Your work will need to be looked at by 2-3 other people before it can be issued which is totally fine if its done in a timely fashion. Calendars seem to be constantly booked up with meetings that don't appear to result in actual work. For example, my boss who led my department hardly had any time to focus on actual projects of the department and was always in meetings with other departments. Would make sense if there was something stemming out of those meetings but what was discussed still remains a mystery.
