Pros

Things were good from 2016-to spring 2019. It was a fun, energetic place to work, and the company cared about it's employees. From a sales standpoint, it is nice ] they are a true broker, and offer a wide variety of companies to their clients (aside from the core carriers). The training is reasonable, and they do a decent job of getting agents up to speed and have the proper product knowledge. Have to give them credit on their marketing, as that is not cheap, and they are everywhere online and on social media. - Not overly pleased with most of management, but big shout out to J.K. (initials for one of the sales directors/s execs). He used to be a sales agent/ manager, and was promoted I believe in 2019, and does a terrific job of handling the EXTREMELY high demands of executives, while accomodating the agents the best he can. You could not pay me anything to do what he does, so a lot of respect for him.\ *Health Insurance Benefits

Cons

As I mentioned prior, things started to change in early 2020. It appears due to existing business changes, and then followed by Covid. The company started to become increasingly more demanding on us agents. They were in a position to expect more from less due to what appears some financial difficulties. Our compensation was cut signficantly and with a month or so notice. Getting reduced pay is one thing, but they way they treat us agents is yet another concern. By early 2020 , there become increasing more challenges for us agents (software functioning properly, meeting sales expectations, again commissions reduced and delayed by 2-3 months). Instead of being more sympathetic and supportive for us agents, the vibe was "just deal with it and keep going". The higher ups lost their mission and compassion for the sales team, (and likely entire company workforce). It became a miserable place to work, and I noticed this sentiment among 90% of agents I would argue. I am not sure how much longer I will stay (as the job market is tough right now), but I know for sure I want to leave. Again, I think Covid put the company in a very difficult position, but they could have been more empathetic with the workforce, instead of more demanding. *I notice there is extemely high turnover with executives (which tells me they do not enjoy working at HIQ. *You should not have dropped pay so callously back in spring 2020, and should have listened to the agents' concerns earlier. I have more, but too tired to write further. Defintiely reach out to sales agents son Link'd In to get a better idea of what it is likeing working there.

Pros

I don’t see a good reason for this company period not at all I’d shut it down

Cons

Equipment breaks easily people don’t get trained properly. You’re treated like trash everyone is rude the company is so unorganized they make u take outgoing calls to people who don’t even care about speaking about insurance. Long hours poor pay and thd breaks they give you suck if something is happening in your life they don’t care u must be at work. It’s about their company not u if you have an unexcused absence, you most likely get fired if you don’t have a good reason why u missed work. This job is emotionally draining idk how many times I have broke down in the past seeing the way they treat everyone DONT WORK HERE DONT DO IT

Pros

If you HAVE to have a check.

Cons

They lied during recruiting. Promised inbound calls only. Promised average 6k a month. Now all we do is outbound garbage calls. Never get enrollments. If you manage to get a sale to get into better leads then QA is extremely hard and will find problems and you get dropped back down to garbage leads. They lie to get you in. But if you quit they hold your appointments for a year and also have you sign a 1 year non compete agreement. They screw your over extremely hard. Hundreds of agents were hired with false promises and are absolutely miserable earning half what they were promised and doing hundreds of outbound calls a day.
