They only care about lining the pockets of the board and the investors, not about the employees and certainly not about the customers. What started as a tuition company clearly grew quicker than they could handle, management couldn't have been worse with decision making being sporadic and often resulting in unnecessary changes only to change back a few months later, but now they only care about pursuing VR as a way to make a name for the founders, eventually they'll give up on tuition itself I'm sure and make even more people redundant.
