      Pros

      Hire within, smart friendly people, great product, and great benefits

      Cons

      I would steer clear from this place. You will have no work-life balance. Salary job security is very low. This is a union environment which can be hard to deal with. Union is highly favored over salary workers. No accountability what so ever. Gilbarco used to be a fun place to work and not sure what happened. HR will almost always takes Union side over salary. Long hours will make you absolutely insane which will show in your work. Lots of promise to lower overtime but never happens , still find myself working 70+ hours a week. Lots of drama , way too much drama.

      Pros

      - Reputable company to the eyes of future employers (if only they knew the truth!) - Job security (especially if you don't deserve to be kept on) - Opportunity to move up the chain

      Cons

      - Equality in pay is a joke to GVR, even in this day and age of pay equality - Management are blind to lazy / stupid workers - Stuck in the 80's feel about the company (UK building is a depressing decaying ghost of a company that used to care) - Accountability is 0% cared about - I've witnessed the same people get away with doing nothing all day and just because these people 'have irreplaceable knowledge' (which is nonsense by the way, it's not exactly rocket science in GVR) they get away with it.
