Pros

Benefits are good . Best retail benefits I've ever seen .

Cons

The place is a train wreck ! Expectations are insane . Budgets are unreasonable . Pay for non management & low level mangers is insulting .... Gap recently changed direction & no longer embraces customer service & now is centering focus on merchandising .

Pros

I love my coworkers. Everyone is open minded and cool. 15 mins away from home.

Cons

While my coworkers are cool, the managers are opposite. They lack communication which makes it hard to work.

Pros

Competitive salary Good health insurance coverage w low premiums Great downtown location that is super convenient Employee discount if you like their clothes Nice cafeteria Results Only Work Environment - you only have to come in as necessary

Cons

Extremely cliquish Afraid of change and new ideas You can't trust your coworkers - they will stab you in the back the second they think it will help their career or if they feel threatened, very immature/unprofessional working culture Horrible senior management stuck in micromanaging rather than actually leading the brands and improving the business Horrible middle management who have no idea what a good manager looks like, only manage up, never have your back Management values kiss ups, people who look pretty, people who don't rock the boat and never have any big ideas Some of the least talented--aka not smart--people I've ever worked with (I've worked at several large companies) Serious lack of office space and conference room space in 2 Folsom/HQ - constantly "densifying" areas because they are too cheap to get more office space Trashy office - while the building itself is nice, between the product and the lack of process to keep the area organized, the offices/cubes feel like a delinquent teenager's room with broken computers, files, papers, product/clothes everywhere Company doesn't build brands - only focused on purchase conversion
