Pros

head of new york is a good salesman with good learning opportunity

Cons

every manager in the new york office has no idea what they're doing. pointless kpis that everyone lies on. extreme micro management. turnover is absolutely insane, so insane that they basically hire like crazy to keep stealing leads from hungry people. there is one guy in the new york office that does 0 work yet gets free leads and a pass on being late every day (everyone knows who this is). This place will steal your soul, just avoid it unless you're super desperate. The only chance you have staying here long term if you're okay with management eventually stealing all your leads. funny how often they talk about culture here when they have 0

Thank you for your review. We focus heavily on growing and developing our Sales teams at GDS, hence why we are currently recruiting at the moment, to increase our Sales teams across GDS to allow us to realize our ongoing growth plans. Our VP of Sales and CRO, based from New York, are both very experienced professionals, so there is big opportunities to learn from experts, as well as our L&D Team. We are KPI centric and understand that this may not suit everyone, but at GDS we use it as a framework to support performance.

Pros

- Sales department is made up of some really great people - Some of leadership actually makes you feel like they care about your success - Free snacks and coffee (although they do get a little stingy with that too sometimes) - Early release on Fridays sometimes (used to be every Friday but now its whenever upper leadership feels like it)

Cons

- Lead by fear approach from senior leadership - Leadership verbally degrades people in office wide meetings - threatened to be terminated in office wide morning meetings - no incentives to do well besides commission, management seems to think money motivation should be good enough - Favoritism is rampant, KPIs don't apply to you if you're liked by management while others are put on performance plan and terminated for the same - communication is terrible between leadership to subordinates -Poor excuse for an HR department, always told by opps "email the UK" and the "UK" HR barely responds and when they do, its with rude or wrong information or both. HR refuses to get on a call with you to discuss major HR matters such as EEO violations

Pros

there's a 5 word minimum but I can think of no pros

Cons

the good reviews on here are as fake and fabricated as they seem, written by the internal recruiter in an attempt to continue to hire talent because they can't seem to keep it it's not even worth the half decent base salary you might get paid if you're lucky - management is not shy about letting you know that everyone's salary is very different for the same position do yourself a favor and look elsewhere
