Pros

Beautiful campus facility. Great co-workers. Some what flexible work environment. Good location close to Boston and Providence. Salary is commensurate with experience. Lots of exposure to the footwear and apparel businesses. Opportunities to travel to worldwide offices.

Cons

If you are not willing to relocate to other locations around the world, it is difficult to advance your career. I know of several occasions where management used questionable tactics to force turn over of employees. I have been told that Adidas HR is useless to employees in mediation with management. Home base for my corporate business unit is in Germany so I find it difficult to undestand my role and the overall objectives of my business unit. Because of this it is also difficult to feel that your position is secure. It feels as though my job could be eliminated and moved to Germany if management deemed there would be a cost saving. Every penny that is spent is scrutinized down to the purchase of office supplies. There used to be an office supply closet for my team, but the budget was eliminated. If you needed office supplies you had to obtain a cost center number from the department head. On several occassions I was asked to attend a team lunch for which I was expected to pay for my own lunch! This is an 11 billion Euro company!!! I have since stopped attending these team lunches.
