As it is an international organization you are surrounding by people from all parts of the world at all times thus interaction with colleagues is truly extraordinary. Although individual staff experiences differ greatly depending on department and supervisors I found my time here to be productive and enriching.”
Cons
As a UN organization the WHO is an extraordinarily bureaucratic experience. At times the slow progress can be exhausting for the impatient. Opportunities are not necessarily given to the most deserving and the human resource department is as bad as it gets. However, as time passes you learn how to maximize the efficiency of the system through experience and connections and hopefully find a way to contribute the body of work.
