Pros
There are just a few good reasons to work at UPS Supply Chain Solutions depending what region you work at. The benefits are very good. The pay is better than most employment out there. It is very easy to get full time work. The actual job it's self is constant and can be very fulfilling once experience is gained. The available technology to perform daily order processing and tracking packages is very efficient. The IT department is very helpful once you know the IT language. The paid holidays are nice if your a lucky employee that doesn't have to cover the after hour calls.
Cons
Where to begin. If you have life changing events whether it may be marriage, buying your first home, life threatening disease, family events, college, or anything I may have missed; there is a good chance that your manager will find a reason not to give you what you need or deserve unless you are a yes man. Even if everyone around you know the manager is dead wrong. If your life changing events will hurt your manager or supervisor's bonus at the end of the year, there is no chance that your manager will work with you or invest in his own business to make the business more streamline to be more profitable. Greed is God here. Don't unintentionally make the manager appear to not know what it may be talking about or you will find yourself stuck working by yourself with a history of seizures. We have conference calls that are supposed to let employees give ideas on how to make the business run smoother and I have personally stopped getting involved because the problems that are addressed never get taken care of. There is a sea of silence every time when the manager asks questions about what could be done to make the work place more functional. The atmosphere in the work place could be like the 1950's Communist scare. Using time off that is alloted to all employees is put under the microscope and become more trouble than it is worth. When I have requested time off, I get to play twenty questions with my manager. It wants all the details like I work under the Stalinist Regime.
