Pros
There are some great people that work for the organisation who are talented and committed The work carried out by the organisation is cutting edge and genuinely has the potential to make the world a better place Free lunches available for staff
Cons
Unfortunately in a lot of respects the organisation is very bureaucratic which is highly frustrating. Basic systems used by the organisations support functions haven't really evolved over time meaning its often really difficult to get things done. The way that appraisal decisions are made is kept under wraps so, although the bonuses received are fair, you never really understood how decisions were made about bonuses which always felt a bit strange. The organisation also suffers from the age old problem of having managers that have got into their position based on length of service as opposed to actual management skill. There is also very poor work/ life balance regardless of your level in the organisation.
