Pros
The weather was nice. Most teachers were friendly enough. The owners are nice enough people, but neither of them could organise a tea party in a cafe.
Cons
Where do I start? After giving up my life in the UK to go to Valladolid, I ended up leaving after only four weeks because the place is so badly run and they don't value staff at all. I wasn't paid for the four weeks I worked and after being told I'd be paid and then not being paid, I had no choice but to leave. They pay staff as and when they get round to it and say that they can do this because it's legal in Spain (it isn't, they've misinterpreted Spanish employment law.) Sometimes had a lesson from 8-9 am and then my next lesson wouldn't be until 5pm which means your whole day is spent at work or doing work related things, but only getting paid for the actual teaching time. The other teachers have become so used to this that they think this is normal and they get really excited by the bare minimum from the owners such as not being contacted on weekends. Poor communication from owners and admin staff to teachers meant that class changes, or changes of location were not communicated to the teacher. With the big gaps between lessons, and the planning and preparation involved with delivering lessons, you end up working a lot more than the 22 or 24 hours you're actually paid for (or not paid for, in my case.)
