Pros
Nice coworkers if you can find the right ones and avoid the troopers. Pay is good for the area. Good 401k match compared to a lot of places. Interesting work.
Cons
Rewards are rarely based on performance. Those who aid and abet the German troops will be rewarded. Those who perform well--but resist the propaganda machine and transatlantic power grab, or aid, abet, and give refuge to the idea that Americans can get things done as well as their tight-panted, floppy-haired, colored-glasses-framed counterparts--will be put on trains to other camps of employment. Management will reward the troopers, no matter how incompetent, by randomly creating new VP and Director ranks for them, which results in a very top-heavy organization with about 20% Directors and VPs. Obviously it is so much better to keep paying them their bonuses and six figures while controlling costs through layoffs of the lower ranks, cheapening of products, and cuts in training and essential travel.
