Pros
The only consistent positive I experienced at Haleon is the employee-friendly leave policy, which provides good flexibility and support for work-life balance. The office space is new and well maintained.
Cons
However, my overall experience—especially within the Digital & Technology organization—has been quite challenging due to multiple structural and operational issues. There is a lack of standardized processes, with different teams following their own ways of working and expecting others to align without a unified framework. This leads to confusion, inefficiencies, and frequent misalignment. The organization is undergoing continuous and widespread changes across leadership, teams, and geographies. While change is expected in any large company, the scale and frequency here create a sense of instability and make it difficult to stay motivated or build long-term ownership. Work often happens in silos, with limited coordination between business, technology, and governance teams. For Product Managers, this becomes particularly difficult as they are held accountable for outcomes without having clear authority or influence over key stakeholders. In many cases, Product Managers are responsible for applications owned by third-party vendors, while delivery is handled by external service providers. This creates a high-accountability, low-control environment, where you are ultimately responsible for outcomes despite limited decision-making power. Additionally, the role leans more towards project coordination and stakeholder management rather than true product ownership. Those looking to build strong product thinking, strategy, or discovery skills may find limited opportunities here. There is also significant overhead from risk and governance processes, which are often not well understood across business teams. This results in considerable time spent aligning, explaining, and navigating internal processes rather than focusing on value delivery. Overall, Haleon may provide exposure to stakeholder and vendor management, but it may not be the right fit for professionals seeking structured product roles, clear ownership, and growth in core product management skills. Salary structure is the worst. There are more variable component than the fixed component. Fixed component is only Basic, HRA and Allowances. Rest is all Variable component. This increases your overall salary but in hand you would just get peanuts.
