- Company outlook is not good right now. Jeff Clarke hasn't done much better than his predecessor with respect to stock performance
- For some reason Kodak seem hell bent on hiring sub par executive talent, recruiting Steven Overman who's last accolade was shutting the lights off at Nokia as that ship sunk
-Clarke has hired a bunch of sub par managers under him with credentials that read more like a graveyard of now defunct companies.
-Idiotic investment and strategic decisions including the launching of a Bitcoin style crypto currency, the relaunch of a super8mm film camera, relaunching long dead film products, taking the kodak brand to tshirts, and launching a service for photographers called KodakIT which no one uses or cares about and continuing to focus on film in Hollywood, and pretending to care that people still care about it.
-Rather than strengthening and focusing on core businesses that generate revenue in the printing divisions and bringing in leaders that understand that business, kodak has attempted to raise money by selling divisions - which it's also failed at. like it's on again off again sales of the Prosper division. Do you have any idea how disruptive it is internally to announce the sale of a division then call it off when you can't secure a buyer
-the next division slated for sale is the Flexo Packaging division, again a big money and profit maker. Kind of feels like the junkie at the pawn broker selling his mom's TV
