Pros

Amazing campaigns to be a part of, opportunity to move functions and develop new skills, salary is good, lots of perks.

Cons

Despite being more progressive than other FMCGs, the level of diversity is not consistent across the business. Senior management are rigid and stuck in their ways, long processes to go through to get stuff done which hinders creativity/reactiveness but this is the nature of working with alcohol. Typical coprorate culture of encouraging people to compete and outshine each other.

Pros

Company benefits are attractive. Pay structure options good in wider Diageo. But you won't get progression here.

Cons

I have to say, JWPS is one of the most toxic places that I have ever worked. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work here. It in no way embodies Diageo values. A microcosm of pettiness, vindictiveness, oneupmanship, power thirsty management and vindictive recrimination through 'catch-ups' and pointless goal setting that serves as nothing other than to keep you in your low, low position. Avoid at all costs!!!

Pros

Good wages if you sell your soul Great bunch of guys to work with and benefits.

Cons

Zero work life balance, if you want to work every weekend then this is the job for you. You can get called in on your days off which management think is their right due to the shift allowance. Surely working unsociable hours/weekends and public holidays is enough without your days off! Inexperienced management trying to implement graduate policies when they don't work. They think because they pay well you are a slave to the wages. No contingency, if anyone goes off, bare minimum staffing have to pick up the shortfalls. I asked for more training time and was refused, lone working for 8 hours at a time and i was not signed off as competent. Dangerous in my opinion! I thought the public sector was bad till I worked here! Promised the world but sorely disappointed. You have to see all the managers having jollies on the company website while you are struggling to keep production running. I've asked for an exit interview with senior management but my manager is reluctant. Surely they want to know the issues so they can address them. Don't be swayed by the salary is my advice! You'll regret it.
