Crate And Barrel does not like feedback. The people in charge take feedback and find the faults in your work instead of listening to the details that are culminating into larger issues.

Most co-workers were friendly and helpful in answering questions from me, and helping to identify and understand the many products we sold. Some managers were the same, others were not.

Cons

Did not find the job that challenging or interesting. Plus I worked during the holidays when retail sales are at their highest, store was busy. Got pretty crazy at times.

Pros

The majority of the associates are limd people who unfortunately get taken advantage of and are under paid. The only reason anyone would stay in this horrible company is the great people who work in housewares, BOH, and Designers.

Cons

Incredibly high turnover because management is awful. Miserable “leaders” who operate with constant mistrust, micromanagement, and unprofessional attitudes. Most of them have little to no real experience or training and it shows. It honestly feels like they’re cosplaying management and have no idea what they’re doing. The environment feels more like high school than a professional workplace, with poor communication, cliques, and unnecessary tension. Communication is terrible, expectations are unclear, and the constant micromanagement and microaggressions make the environment exhausting. Also Dishonest and unfair pay I genuinely can’t imagine anyone staying here longer than a year without completely burning out.
