Pros

Pay is above average and they have bonuses. But this also creates a trap, get used to high pay and can't find comparable job then.

Cons

Continuous cycles of layoffs. They've been averaging a round of layoffs about every 6 months for the time I've been here. Promotions based on relationships more than results. It's often more of who you know, and how well they like you that provides opportunity. Very sterile culture. Departments work in their own silos. No team building, no esprit de corps. Leadership talks in clichés.

Medical devices is an interesting industry; compensation is good, strong financial performance; great products.

Cons

Toxic work environment where only certain highly-valued employees will advance; opinions of others are not valued or desired. If you don't fit "the mold" eventually you will be made to want to leave. People get ahead by making sure others look bad and other highly-political moves. The organizational dysfunction is the worst I have ever seen. Somehow out of this great products are born.

Sr. Leadership is all about is more interested in their advancement than doing right by the company. Lack of direction, they believe they know what strategy means but lack the knowledge of the market to be strategic. Unethical practices towards their employees.
