Cielo is all about it's image and reputation, as it should be. However, the image it portrays publicly is not accurate. They preach about culture, engagement, innovation, etc. But, if you don't do as things the way they want them done, there's a problem. They aren't open to new innovative ideas or constructive criticism. To put it bluntly, they are ethically immoral.
Examples-
**Management will never tell a client no. It doesn't matter if what the client request is completely ludicrous or illegal. They will not educate their clients on the actual employment laws. But, rather do whatever the employer requests regardless of legality issues. Iif you don't agree---PREPARE FOR HORRIBLE HIRING MANAGERS reviews. They would rather discriminate on behalf of their client than have a potentially unsatisfied customer. News flash CIELO - your client hired you to keep things legal and compliant. It's okay to remind them of that.
**Disciplinary action and any processes/procedures are completely inconsistent throughout the company. For example, I was terminated for not meeting a particular metric. However, when I was hired on and inquired to my manager about what goals and metrics I had to meet during my first year her response was this: "Oh, we don't worry about goals and metrics in your first year. It's just about learning the business and positions you are hiring for." But, then when I was let go her exact words were "We are terminating your employment effective immediately based on this metric that you have consistently not been able to meet." Go figure - I thought I didn't have any metrics to meet in my first year? This was also done with no verbal or written warnings and no PIP.
**Favoritism is rampant. If you want to go anywhere with Cielo, make sure to make everyone your best friend.
**Plan on working at least 55-60 hours per week. There is no such thing as work life balance here. They provide you with a Cielo laptop, client laptop and a cell phone. Be prepared to take this with you wherever you go.
**No recognition of a job well done. It doesn't matter if you just stayed up all night and started work again at 8am, there will be no recognition of it. You could have just come up with an amazing new process and implemented the entire thing and it will be thankless.
