Pros

I loved my actual job , i was good at it , and had great relationships with payroll providers / country leads / finance and the employee i trained eventually after 4 months of her counterpart leaving, I also helped employees and had great reports from these . I learnt alot, i worked long hours, as was left to do everything on my own alot due to errors made and team sickness but I succeeded and made a difference , I corrected and implemented better processes between teams .

Cons

I went straight into. toxic environment , straight away team members put down the previous manager , blaming him for all errors . I wasnt allowed to manage, one in particular , was very toxic , when i first went in she love bombed me , then changed like a split , she constantly gaslighted me , put me down in meetings and gossiped , she kept missing important payments and work deadlines, she ignored me if i asked her to do something , she went to the gym for hours on end during crucial payroll times and would disapear when ever she wanted , she sabotaged my work ,she was bestfriends with my manager , so what ever i did wasnt right , I was upward bullied for sure and it caused emotional damage in the end , as I had no support and the whole thing was put down to a personality clash which def wasnt the case , HR didnt help and believed my manager , I ended up being put on Garden leave and basically forced to resign , the money was good , and remote was perfect , so no need to resign apart from being worn down mentally and mental health is more important ,

Pros

Pay was decent, benefits were good

Cons

I worked in the environmental divisions with the HQ in California. Management is a joke, if things don’t go the way they want they ridicule their subordinates. Support is almost not existent. Nepotism is rampant. For our division, all the higher ups were from the same family. They were all cousins or siblings. It was apparent through hiring that they would fire employees, wait a week, and then hire on another member of the family to replace the unrelated employee. They were know to commit tax fraud. One employee was employed in Colorado but was “billed” as if he was in Texas and thereby not made to pay the correct state taxes
