Pros

Good group of people to work with. Good values. Aspires to be a superior education facility. Teaches their teachers in their way of doing things.

Cons

Their philosophy of managmennt is unflexable to unique styles of teaching. You eather fit in to their narrow band of teaching style or they harass you out. That means that they will find rundisclosed reasons to write you up on a weekly basis and then warn the rest of the staff in a posted bullitin.

Pros

Loyal, competent, and dedicated teachers. Curriculum encourages and teaches independence, self-reliance, and public speaking. Benefits? Your first child's tuition is covered. (But you still have to order uniforms through Challenger's suggested supplier, which of course, is owned by a relative of the owner. )

Cons

Corporate management. Mid-managers (headmasters and directors) have little or no loyalty for teachers and/or their hands are tied because they're in fear of speaking up about grievances and losing their jobs. Challenger has a take-it-or-leave-it approach to employment and customers. It's appalling to see a company where management is so indifferent to their customers' needs and cannot offer any flexibility or empathy. Politics has firmly advanced into the classroom and teacher training. It's so blatant and perverse that teachers now shake their heads and accept it as normal company practices. The real victims here are the children, whose lives are interrupted when families debate whether to re-enroll or look elsewhere.

Pros

Teachers are truly dedicated and parents are getting more than their monies worth. Teachers invest countless hours in preparation to enhance the outdated curriculum and resources.

Cons

Can't trust management or corporate as an employee. Disingenuous. All about the bottom line. No loyalty to employees. Appears the mission for LDS owner is to leave an empire to her progeny as an inheritance. Corporate seems to selectively employ her relatives even when they often exemplify the "Peter Principle". Totally top down communication and if you respectfully and professionally offer feedback you might as well start counting your days.
