Pros

- PAY for full time employees is $23.50 a hour! Higher pay for mastering 3 or more departments ($27-28) - Consistent schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm; when they say “some Saturdays” this is actually true, unlike a lot of warehouses in surrounding area. Typically 1 Saturday per month, last week of the month - Some opportunities for growth; promotes from within - Not very strict production discipline; very lenient on those who don’t reach goals (this could be a pro and a con)

Cons

- NO HEATING OR AIR CONDITIONING which is OUTRAGEOUS considering this is an HVAC / refrigeration company! - SPIDER INFESTED WAREHOUSE! Hundreds of THOUSANDS of granddaddy long legs all over entire warehouse. - No standards for 5S; warehouse is FILTHY. Panicked and rushed cleaning whenever management from corporate team comes in, but day to day no standard operations regarding cleaning. Inches of dust everywhere, spiders, dead birds, etc. - FORKLIFTS are all falling apart; too cheap to sign new lease. - REUSING SAFETY HARNESSES FOR ORDER PICKERS which is against the law - Commits federal / international felonies on a day-to-day basis: what time, I shipped out some fire extinguishers, not realizing the customer intended for it to go on a plane. FedEx driver stopped at the door because he saw it was fire extinguishers. Instead of shipping in a different route, the owner of the warehouse had a meeting with outbound insisting that they repackage all boxes into a carrier box so that way drivers cannot refuse packages at the gate!!!!! They boxed the fire extinguishers, and disguised them as a regular Carrier box, and they ship all of these on the plane all the time. This is against international hazardous material law. When I spoke out about this, I was retaliated against greatly. - Refused to order more HAZMAT labels for pallets; potentially and will INEVITABLY cause serious repercussions down the road l - VERY weak Leadership Team, especially owner of the warehouse. - Forget ethics. If you report anything immoral, illegal, or just overall wrong, which is what they encourage you to do and have meetings about regularly, despite claiming an anonymity, they will go directly to the person that you spoke to them about and explained that it was you who spoke out and why. - No hiring through the door; must start as temp… however… - VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE to get hired as a temp - the temp agency set up actually is infuriating; at least 7 or 8 companies under the umbrella company “Volt Staffing”, no on-site assistance for temps, each agency has different ways to log hours, so there is no consistency. Some use a paper to log time, some use SAP fieldglass, which user ID / password never works initially - MOST TEMPS WONT GET PAID FOR 3-4 WEEKS! USUALLY HAVE TO BEG whoever the temp agent they were in communication with to help them find a way to correctly log their hours and get their first paycheck. - the coordinators tell some people to clock in and out with their badge still, others they conveniently say don’t use badge at all (which can result in termination) - when starting here as a temp, expect to wait no less than a year to even start praying that a position might get opened for you. -Temps get paid only $18 an hour, NO PTO, so during holiday season when full-time employees are granted many days off, temps must stay home without pay. - PTO is a high amount of time, but NO UNPAID TIME OFF, even if you ask a year in advance. Must use paid time. - NO LATE GRACE PERIOD- if you are 1 minute late, that is a point - Speaking of points, you only get 5 in a rolling year. You only get 32hrs (4 days) of “sick time” to be put in anytime; after this, God forbid you get sick, your child gets sick and you have to pick them up from school, you have an emergency- “that’s what points are for” - Traffic is not an excuse even if everyone in warehouse is late. CAR ACCIDENTS ARE NOT AN EXCUSE FOR BEING ABSENT! “ that’s what points are for” - meanwhile all salaried associates get unlimited time off / sick time. Sometimes people don’t want to get paid they just want to keep their job! Ridiculous attendance policy - PLAYING FAVORITES! And racist management team. All white and Hispanic people (mainly Hispanic / Latinx people) are considered for management / leadership positions. Almost all leadership is completely Hispanic, outside of warehouse manager. Black temps, employees etc. are treated SIGNIFICANTLY differently to the white / Hispanic employees. They are held to higher standards, they get in trouble for talking etc. yet the same Latinx / white people (especially the management) can stand around talking all day with no consequences. - They not only play favorites but also LEAST favorites! Once you get on the warehouse owner’s bad side, they will do all but physically torture you. They will pick on you, bully you, discriminate against you, watch you on camera all day anticipating you messing up, etc. - ONLY ONE PERSON TO DO ALL OF QUALITY ASSURANCE - however, QA is called “Non-Conforming Parts Area”. This is so they can pay the employees significantly less for the same job. If they were called quality, per carrier policy, they would have to make significantly more money. Instead, they pretend the most difficult department is “rotatable” so that it appears to upper management that anyone can do the job (which just is not true) - they are CHEAP! They will do ANYTHING - including risking the health and safety of employees - just to save some money out of the budget for managerial bonuses. - Limited opportunities for overtime if desired - They always remain understaffed to maintain budget - Lots of drama, rumors, etc. egged on and initiated from upper management - lack of communication between leadership and employees - NO TRAINING AT ALL! Whoever has free time is who trains temps. Especially no training when it comes to FORKLIFTS, the main thing you would expect the most training on!! I was certified on all equipment, even the ones I was not comfortable at all on, within 5 mins after a 30 minute video. Team Lead stated “you will get used to it as you keep working” -All help goes to Athens location - 2nd shift gets away with smoking marijuana, coming in late, not reaching any goals, leaving the floor a mess for first shift with no discipline or consequences; lack of management on this shift. 1st shift was held to much higher expectations - Team-leads can’t actually lead a team because they are on the floor doing the same jobs as regular employees - opportunities for growth if they LIKE YOU And if you don’t do too good of a job in the position you are in. If you do too good of a job, they will walk you into that position and give you no chance for growth because they need you where you are! One of the guys has ran the same department since the building opened a few years ago, and they never once gave him an opportunity for growth other than promoting him to team lead even though he was absolutely doing manager duties every day. - a lot of times people can’t get the multiple-department bonus because management locks them into the same position. Once again, they need them where they are. therefore, how are they supposed to learn three departments if they have been in the same department since they started? This cap them out at the Pay # they’ve been getting, because you have to have at least three months of experience in three different departments. They also don’t count the time when you are a temp - Temp agency employees do the same job as regular employees for less pay! Sometimes more work. And it’s for nothing because they don’t count your experience -one time, this lady was bragging about how she got a sick man who was going through health problems because he had been a temp employee for over a year and with the limited pay, he couldn’t afford his liver medication. he had cirrhosis. instead of trying to help, this lady got him fired, and bragged about it to the team, stating that they need to “give her a longhorn gift card” for “ solving the problem” (aka getting him fired.) many of us went to management and hopes that they would ensure nothing like that was ever stated again because of how cruel that was. Instead, management pulled everybody into a room that said anything, and the girl herself, and informed us that she wanted to apologize to everyone who spoke out against her! So much for anonymity. - I could go on and on. Overall, extremely unethical, immoral, & incompetent company that values everything over the safety of their employees, the legality of their actions, and taking responsibility,

Pros

Company policies and ethics are very strict and good.

Cons

There is not flexibility of work timings. Just like in school days they monitor our log hours and will have one on one meetings for the same. Some of the Policies are beneficial only to the management but not for the employees. Stressful environment, terrible culture and lack of diversity No annual bonus, even if the company is doing good ,hikes will not be good. Their main focus is on cost cutting. No transport facility. No flexibility for female engineers. Notice period is 3months which can be reduced.

Very outdated process

Pros

1. Quarter Bonus 2. Easy hiring process - one interview with recruiter and one with a manager, no accounting tests required

Cons

1. Very outdated processes 2. Very bad ERP systems, we are still using systems from 90s!!! 3. Since hiring process is very simple and does not do any background check on accounting knowledge, company hires a lot of people without any knowledge, and therefore, it is difficult to set things right after them 4. Very outdated login-logout system, counts every single second!
