Personally, I think it might be ok for one's first work experience. A place I would rather stay temporarily untill something better comes my way.

Cons

Lower salary and less benefits for most new employees. Opportunity for advancement is possible but you will have to excercise patience.

Pros

Everyone at CGI has shown a keen interest in how I have been integrated into the group. Management at all levels know me by name and make an effort to ensure that I have challenging and engaging work. I do not work on the IT side, but have exposure to lots of other areas within the company.

Cons

There are a lot of complaints about management's cost-centric attitude and work-related stress.

none really. just been here to long. With young kids at home I need to know where the next pay cheque is coming from so I stick it out.

Cons

lets see...this is the 10th anniversary of no raises in our BU and 5th anniversary of no bonus's (read profit sharing). Promotions are done on favoritism instead of ability. They would rather hire externally then promote from within.
