Pros

You can usually get a discount on BK food and living in Miami was fun for a summer. I enjoyed the people I worked with but mostly pitied them for their career choice

Cons

I was most upset to see that there is significantly less opportunities for promotion and career growth than expected. Very few of the projects actually mattered and I found myself doing busy work that never added value. If you get an offer, you do not know where you will get placed and you find out after working in the restaurants for two months. They hire from top notch schools but clearly not the cream of the crop since I had people from IV league schools doing secretarial busy work. That is GBS (Global Business services) and people get stuck in it with no career advancement because there is no opportunity to prove yourself. The company is also so cheap that they charge employees to use its rundown gym and I had to buy a pen and paper for work because they refuse to buy office supplies. Absolutely no perks like free dinner when I stayed past midnight or any type of happy hour.

Pros

They appear better than they are... Beware

Cons

BK moved my family across the country and after a few months later laid me off. No reason was given. Poor planning on management.

Pros

There is room to grow in the company because they value meritocracy and have many positions to fill. Hard work will get you promotions.

Cons

The company is in complete turmoil. Since changing owners in 2010, there is an extreme lack of structure and direction for the brand. Specifically for the training program, we were required to work around 12 hour days completing tasks otherwise relevant to the training program.
