Pros

Some of the Management team here are among the most highly respected people I know. I feel I always know where I stand with my manager, any problems I have can be brought up objectively and corrected quickly, this even extends to my boss's bosses: It's really nice working with people you can trust to make the right decisions in a timely fashion.

Cons

There are some departments that are disconnected with the others; there are some major communications break-downs that occur every once in a while (and one case where there is too much communication between individuals, this is more of a lapse in professionalism on the part of the Rep than the associate, there appears to be a downgrade in the quality of services he provides). I believe this can be traced back to specific individuals, however, there are usually other subordinates ready to take up the slack so day-to-day performance has rarely been impacted.

Pros

For starters, I love the people I work with. There are so many flavors of people here at O.co that I am constantly learning new things about cultures, beliefs and making new friends. I genuinely feel like all coworkers care about my well being in and outside of work. And they all would do almost anything to get me to smile. They make me feel like I am part of something bigger than myself, while not forgetting that I am an individual that has individual needs. That gives me a great reason to come into work each morning. I also have never heard of a company that takes care of their employees so well. From food, to appreciation gifts, to excellent insurance, to 401k benefits, I am always surprised to find a little bit more while I am at work. I also love the responsibilities and challenges that are given me. If I accomplish something well, I feel I am recognized for that and then given additional opportunities to prove myself.

Cons

One of the things that surprised me most when I started working here is the hierarchy of the company. Having never worked in corporate environment before, I did not know what I was getting into. Truthfully, it still intimidates me. I would rather feel like the management was more approachable instead of too busy to say hi when they walked through my office.

Pros

The enviroment at Overstock.com is great! I love my co-workers (well...my family) and the management at Overstock.com. This is by far the most exciting and rewarding place to work in Utah. Patrick Byrne is an excellent CEO. We asked for an ice machine at a meeting....and he delivered within just a few days! =)

Cons

I agree with a review posted on here that the advancement opportunities can be a little bit unfair at times.
