Pros

Inclusive where everyone belongs. Great bonus potential when sales plan achievable. Advancement opportunities (from store to store) Provides great tools to be able to do your job. Smells good daily. Benefits including associates emergency funds. accepts feedback and sometimes uses it. Always updating themes to keep it fun.

Cons

It is a favoritism game. It whoever is making them look good at that moment. They will use your goal/dream to get what they want from you. However if you run into a rough patch they kind of just abandon you and move to the next person. You make more money in a lower volume store than I high volume store even though your salary is higher. Bonus is almost nonexistent. Stress is really high during peak times and work life is almost nonexistent. As a Store manager you must work 40 hours completely gravy and normal but…. You spend majority of your day there. You don’t get to open and you must close 2 nights a week. 1 weekend off a month and weekend days you’re there 11:30-8 which is your entire day and no time with the family or activities after work. DM and higher get to enjoy the holidays, weekend and evenings off that offers a great work life balance. But will push SM’s to pretty much spend 11:30-8 at their stores. Those hours stink: If you work over 40 you make no extra (standard for salary) but if you work less than 38 you get penalized and they take money from your pay? You must use your PTO if you are sick and if you have to miss a weekend day because you’re sick that is considered your weekend off for that month.

Bully, bully. An irrelevant company

Pros

Decent pay. Decent pay for Columbus Ohio.

Cons

There is no movie I’m enjoying watching more than Wexner, LBrands, Jeffrey Epstein. I’m a former employee who rather than being fired for low-performance (and I say that with humility, by their standards), I was bullied and shamed and pushed out of the company. I left peacefully, because I just wanted to move on with life, but now, I know, it was their culture of fear. And I love watching them become irrelevant and for those who had the strength to stand up to them. In Ohio, they’re everything. Outside of Ohio, they’re not considered an aspirational company.

Pros

Lots of glitz and glam, smells good

Cons

No training, everyone gets annoyed if you ask a question. You get hired as a seasonal employee and only get asked to work on the busiest days like Black Friday and get yelled at for no reason. The managers turn over quickly and the one I worked for physically pushed me, which is why I had to resign. She didn’t even think she did anything wrong or apologize for it. It is extremely intense the entire shift, you have to be on the entire time and you still get yelled at. Working here comes at a huge cost to your dignity, mental and physical health with pay that is barely above the minimum wage.
