a okay software company

not much pressure from the work. most of the products are really mature, so most of your work will be just adding new features, so you may find it boring.

Cons

poor payment. almost no salary increase in three or four straight years. work is kind of boring. managments don't pay attention to technology, so i don't see a bright future of the company.

Pros

A very professional environment with bright people motivated to succeed. Benefits are very good - health, 401K and many other good benefits like health club subsidy, child care subsidy, sabbaticals - also flexible workplace with many who telecommute, etc.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for advancement -- higher level positions are often filled via cronyism. Accountability for results is not emphasized, mainly because results are often not measurable.

Pros

At a high level, Autodesk is a great employer - benefits, work-life balance, etc are all really good. Product support is a little different - there is less flexibility, since we are customer facing, that's understandable, but cuts of the last few years mean that not all the corporate benefits can really be taken advantage of.

Cons

The annual review process is quite arbitrary, and rarely followed up on. Quotas for each rating, and a lack of transparency as to what would make you a top rated employee, make it hard to get another other than "Average".
