Pros

1.Helping citizens in the community is the best part. 2. Networking opportunities galore. 3. Opportunity to travel on paid deployments and training. 4. Amazing volunteers (but a limited number)

Cons

1. No work/life balance. 2. Unreasonable work hours, DPM's on average work 55 hours a week. 3. No support from higher ups in the organization. 4. No room for growth. 5. During interviewing for a DPS, I saw upper management blatantly discriminate against someone with a disability.

Pros

12 year employee, employees fabulous

Cons

For a company in financial stress, restructured the organization charts to add more directors. After 2 years and still bleeding money decided another re organization which impacted secretaries like myself not the unnecessary newly added directors whom jobs were redundant to lower staff already doing that job. I would have recommended arc 7 years ago, today no way. There will be a knife in your back eventually.
