Pros

*Management is somewhat friendly *Coworkers are easy to get along with *Willing to negotiate with pay

Cons

*When I was first hired, they wanted me as a full-time receptionist. Then after I got the job and did my interview, they told me that I wasn't going to be a receptionist, just a receptionist breaker. And my hours changed on me too, which wasn't okay. *Call offs are impossible. You have to call four hours in advance in order for it to be excused, which to me is ridiculous. I'm not saying to call in like 15 minutes before the start of your shift but at least make it 1-2 hours before, not 4. *Good luck asking for time off. I asked for a few days off well in advance (three months) and I was denied because they just would not cover for that time. *To me, the way things are run seem VERY unorganized. For some people who wanted my position, they were able to train in three days. For me, it took almost 3 weeks. I understand wanting to make sure I know everything, but you're wasting the time of the other employees who have things to do. *If you have a family emergency/get sick at work, you run the risk of getting written up for it if you leave early. *Good luck being a female at my site. Every little thing is scrutinized, and you're constantly wondering if you're gonna get talked to. I was wearing a shirt that covered up my shoulders, no cleavage, and yet I still got talked to because it was "inappropriate and provocative". I even showed it to my extremely conservative grandma and she liked it, so it's really irritating when other employees are wearing pretty much the same thing. *You WILL get written up for not smiling. I found that out yesterday. I was sitting in a lobby and I didn't hear my supervisor come in, so I didn't immediately look up at her and greet like she wanted me to, and she said she was either going to write me up or send me home due to my attitude. I did end up saying hi and I tried to apologize but that wasn't good enough. *****************UPDATE (05/30)******************* *Last week, I filed a sexual harassment complaint against someone who made me feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable (to the point where I didn't want to come to work). Today, my supervisor told me not to file one again, because I'll be perceived as a "snitch" and a "trouble-maker". I am going to HR about this, and will possibly be taking legal action if it happens again. I plan on switching companies immediately. I haven't even been here a full month yet.

Pros

Cons

Low pay, I have seen people told not to come to work any more but yet are still employees all so they can not collect unemployment. Management have no clue how to do a proper investigation.

Pros

Hire anyone they want just to get you in then your just another body.

Cons

Zero communication, low pay rates, poor insurance, horrible management, no one is professional at any branch location and they run the offices any way they want. You can never get through to speak with your operations manager and its always new people they have take over the accounts therefore its impossible for them to even know who are no matter how long you've worked for them. They will give you a post to work then lose the account which makes you responsible on moving work locations leaving you no choice but to work where they replace you. If you miss more than 3 days thats an automatic write up. I quit working for allied universal and now work for a better security company at a much organized friendly work place and environment. I will never again work for allied universal, long beach branch to be exact or any other.
