they'll hire darn near anyone at lower lvls

Cons

they have high turnover, low pay n beni's, don't get pregnant, or sick, and don't speak up when you see something wrong. You get on the excrement list. They put forth a professional image but its all rotten underneath. They don't reward hard work. Take your ideas and innovations to a company that will at least pat ya on the back, & throw a cpl bucks your way.

Pros

Nice working environment. Great benefits for FT employees. Lots of temporary job opportunities during the summer peak season. Opportunities for a lot of overtime during peak season. A great opportunity for chemistry, environmental science, science students and grads to gain work experience.

Cons

Many people get let-go around December when work slows down. Peak season is roughly May to November and can be very demanding and stressful. The work can be somewhat repetitive. Although the benefits are very good, pay is only averageish.

Good employer, looks after their employees, pays above market rates, strong global presence, very strong safety culture, competitive within market to keep jobs.

Cons

Can be difficult for staff during mining downturns as redundancies and overtime bans etc affect staff morale. They do their best within prevailing market conditions.
