The Head of Software Engineering leads multiple engineering teams responsible for the design, development, scalability, and evolution of Intraway’s products and platform capabilities.

This role combines strong engineering leadership, software architecture expertise, organizational management, and technology innovation.

The position plays a key role in guiding technical decision-making across teams, driving engineering excellence, enabling AI-driven transformation initiatives, and ensuring scalable, reliable, and modern software solutions aligned with business goals.

Telco industry experience, OSS/BSS ecosystems, and distributed systems knowledge are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams and engineering leaders across product development and platform initiatives.
• Provide high-level architectural guidance and participate in solution design for complex systems and integrations.
• Drive engineering best practices across software development, DevOps, observability, security, scalability, and quality.
• Partner with Product and Executive Leadership to align engineering execution with business strategy.
• Drive technical and architectural direction across engineering teams.
• Guide engineering leaders in solution design, scalability, integration, and technology decisions.
• Lead and support the organization’s AI transformation initiatives, evaluating and adopting emerging technologies and engineering practices.
• Promote technical excellence, innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Support engineering leaders in technical decision-making, prioritization, and team development.
• Define and track engineering KPIs related to delivery, quality, reliability, operational efficiency, and team health.
• Improve engineering processes, development lifecycle efficiency, and cross-team collaboration.
• Participate actively in recruitment, organizational scaling, and succession planning.
• Manage engineering capacity planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of ownership, autonomy, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Support, Delivery, Business Development, and Executive teams.
• Contribute to technology strategy, platform evolution, and long-term architectural roadmap.

Requirements

Knowledge & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Strong understanding of modern software architectures, distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native environments, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows, LLM-based solutions, or AI transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of OSS/BSS, TM Forum standards, telecom ecosystems, or service orchestration platforms is a plus.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering organizations.
• 5+ years leading multiple engineering teams or engineering managers.
• Proven experience designing and delivering scalable enterprise software solutions.
• Strong experience guiding architecture and technical decision-making across teams.
• Experience leading organizational and technology transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders in complex environments.
• Telco industry experience is highly desirable.
