Position Overview
The Compliance Services Representative is responsible for managing day-to-day client tax compliance needs. As a trusted resource and extension of our client’s tax compliance environment, this role performs tasks such as data imports and reconciliation, management of regulatory tax deadlines, and provides problem resolution to complex problems.
With a strong understanding of project management and experience in client services, accounting and reconciliation, the Services Representative will act as a collaborative and consultative partner.

Job Responsibilities
Deliver client services utilizing Sovos’ Tax Information Reporting (1099), Affordable Care Act, Sales and Use Tax Reporting, FATCA, Unclaimed Property, and/or Certificate Management software
Ensure compliance with applicable taxing authorities (IRS, State and Local Governments) and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and procedures
Identify, prioritize, and resolve client issues; coordinate appropriate internal departments to provide timely response and solutions
Provide assistance to Compliance Services Associates in building domain expertise and resolving client issues
Maintain goals and key measures to ensure progress and alignment with desired business outcomes for clients
Identify process improvements and offer suggestions to build internal efficiencies and reduce risk and lead internal process improvement projects
Foster continuous improvement efforts; offer ideas and feedback to generate new and innovative ideas for ongoing Company improvements and enhancements
Assist management team in tracking team activities to ensure timely and accurate completion
Ensures internal policies and procedures are adhered to based on established guidelines
Support team members in their ongoing training and development by leading training sessions, creating training materials, and providing daily mentoring
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Reports to Compliance Services Supervisor
This position has no direct supervisory reports
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a client support / services capacity
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Tax Information Reporting (1099), Affordable Care Act Reporting, Sales and Use Tax Reporting, FATCA, Unclaimed Property, and/or Exemption Certificate Management
Excellent time management, decision making, and organizational skills
Detail oriented and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
