Patient Coordinator Interview Questions

HR asked me basic and situational questions. I also had a lot of questions as well. She also informed me of benefits and salary. The Patient Care Director asked me situational and behavioral questions, nothing I’m not use to answering just basic. She also told me the position hours, scrub color for the unit, very helpful information on the unit and staff. I also had questions. The specific unit is very challenging so she also asked if I could handle it. I have many years of Trauma experience and I am always up for a challenge and said absolutely. The following day HR called me to see if I had any questions and told me the interview went well. She gave me a rate for the position but because I have over 10 years experience I told her what I was comfortable with. At that point she said she would contact the director with the rate I wanted and get back to me. In the meantime, they were moving forward with me. She emailed me a link for 5 references 2 had to come from 2 Managers/Supervisors from 2 different companies. The other 3 can be your coworkers. All my references responded over the weekend. On Monday by 4p HR called to offer me the position along with the rate I was comfortable with. I start training on my unit in 3 weeks and must pass a background check, drug test and physical within that time. This was the fastest response for this hospital. It can sometimes take months to get a response back. Overall, everything went well and they were extremely pleasant. It’s an honor to work for NYP and I cannot wait to be a part of an Awesome place!
